This is a smaller version of my earlier Kool Kitty and it is also reversed. The embellishments were done independantly without reference to the earlier larger version.
This is one of two pieces poured simultaneously, because I made two molds. This one is gold over Aquamarine over metallic blue topaz
Kool Kitty finish code A 11 7 3 detail 1
Been a little while that I have not carved
I can't seem to survive for long without it, it seems. I have drawn and painted all my life, far far longer than modelled or carved. But it always seems the two dimensional arts don't keep me going, don't provide me with a fix to this itch to scratch at plaster. This hasn't even been titled yet. It's a nicely "balanced" kitty, not too cutesy, a step above Disney-like. Anyway, it was a pleasure getting back for a few days.

Completed Cat on Day 4
Catatonic Cat Day 3
Every piece requires some gamble as to how many hours/ how much detail am I willing to gamble, before ever knowing whether the piece will ultimately be successful or end up as discontinued due to lack of buying interest. Though this piece is only 5 1/2" diameter, it already represents three full carving days and is not all that close to an end. Here is the cat at day 3.
Cat plaster model day 2
Just some dogs and cats as small pieces done in a caricature style
